PeepSpace presents The Great Indoors, a group exhibition co-curated by Yeon Ji Yoo and Rachel Sydlowski. This exhibition considers the vaster qualities of the psyche and landscape as mirrored in their shared states of endlessness. The Great Indoors articulates psychic exploration as an inward journey an ever-changing kaleidoscopic reflection of self. In this exhibition, the miasma of modernity is interpreted through strategies of beauty as a system of dismantling the depths of self and physical spaces. This collection of artists chase ghosts of past trauma back to the corners, disrupt patriarchy through inner feminine strength, and engage with post-industrial transgressions against nature through a remixing of landscape and architecture.

The SMFA Art Sale has been the leading contemporary art sale in New England since its creation in 1978. Offering works across all mediums, the sale showcases a diverse selection of talented students, alumni, faculty, and friends of SMFA.
Each year, the SMFA Art Sale makes an impact beyond celebrating the creativity of our community; it also raises critical funds to support financial aid. Through both the generous donations from artists and purchases made by SMFA supporters, the financial aid dollars raised by the sale ensure a wide breadth of creative voices from all lived experiences and backgrounds have access to SMFA at Tufts’ unique interdisciplinary educational program..

ArtsWestchester places artists at the center of imagining our region’s next chapter. Artists work at the intersection of visual culture, craft, architecture, and design; through their perspectives, we aim to explore concepts of historic land ownership, building inclusive communities, creative placemaking, and sustainable development. With one of many histories of setting a canon of artistic practice, institutions such as the Hudson River School have shaped how we see our landscape and thus the integral use of artists to see ourselves within it. This project invites artists to envision built and social transformation by giving them a seat at the table for this planning.

Patterns of Power recontextualizes patterns found in the decorative arts and addresses power structures, social and environmental issues. The desire to destroy the genteel trappings of modern life that underhandedly rewards greed, patriarchy and short-sightedness is articulated through deconstruction and maximalism.
The resplendent qualities inherent to artworks in this exhibition, like the Pattern & Decoration movement, are equally beautiful and deceptive through their critical aims. Deconstructed wallpaper, prints and drawings that are accumulative and highly ornamental exist outside of the bounds of the familiar; their uncanniness is a potent signal to action.

Cladogram: 2ND KMA International Juried Biennial, juried by Yasmeen Siddiqui, brings together artists working in written and visual media. A cladogram is a branching diagram that shows relationships among different species and their history of evolution. Similarly, this exhibition will include work that engages with personal or family history, explores the ways in which historical objects and ideas are organized, categorized, and displayed, and challenges the dominant narrative of history and art history. With Cladogram, the KMA presents a broad range of contemporary work created by artists based locally, regionally, and from 21 countries around the world, in an effort to build networks of artists internationally. Yasmeen Siddiqui is a curator, essayist, lecturer and founding director of Minerva Projects, which supports interdisciplinary artists.

In its largest gallery, MoCA Westport will showcase the artists selected for its first Summer Open Call, curated by Max Teicher and Emily White. The Call For Art was open to all emerging, mid-career and established visual artists over the age of 18. MoCA Westport received over 200 submissions for consideration, from artists spanning the United States and beyond. The exhibition features eleven artists working in a range of mediums.

Art Off-Screen is an international exhibition, organized by Eileen Jeng Lynch, of artwork and performances in outward-facing locations, so the work can be viewed from outside by the community. With pause orders during the pandemic, art has moved online and much of it is still behind closed doors. Art Off-Screen provides access to art beyond a screen, inspiring creativity, amplifying voices, encouraging change, and sending messages of hope and healing.
